Valley Girls are an experimental rock band operating within extremes, fusing minimalist repetition with maximalist emotion. Valley Girls are active in numerous projects, both together and apart, including Boy Future Guitars, Factfinder, neckline, and YHWH.
Their first album "Mesozoic" was released in 2013 and revolved around science fiction, cryptozoology, and desconstructed takes on black metal, hardcore, and noise rock. Their second album "Being/Becoming," released in 2017, is a loose concept album exploring stasis and transformation, continuity and radical change across three interlocking suites. The album sees the band hone in further on repetition, outsized rock n roll, and tight song structures. "Being/Becoming" was named album of the week by Kool Strings radio, Devor-Rock reviewed it favorably, and was ultimately ranked as the number two local album of the year by WKSU.
